IconStiX es una herramienta de íconos fundamental fácil de usar que permite a los usuarios combinar y adjuntar imágenes a elementos del escritorio.
IconStiX es un programa simple para combinar imágenes y adjuntar composiciones como íconos personalizados a elementos del escritorio, como carpetas. Colabora con los servicios del Finder, para que puedas seleccionar "Abrir iconStiX" en el menú contextual del Finder para iniciar el programa.
Soporta funciones básicas como:
- Agregar múltiples objetos (imagen, forma y texto) y visualizarlos en una tabla
- Mover, redimensionar, rotar, sesgar, colorear y agregar sombras a objetos
- Adjuntar/quitar íconos personalizados
- Guardar documentos (como plantilla)
- Exportar composiciones como imágenes (ICNS, PNG, TIFF)
- Mantener imágenes de íconos favoritas para acceso rápido.

A clear leader in the sparse pack of icon adorning apps, not because it is the simplest (it is not) but because it is the most flexible. It pays to experiment and to make yourself familiar with all the features, including the ability to save favourites—and to transfer them to ColoFolXS, which can if required apply them via keyboard shortcuts. And who can resist a dev who implements a new feature less than 24 hours after you suggest it?

Like many others, I was looking for a replacement for Viou to create folder icons. Viou's user interface is a bit obtuse. But if you could figure it out, it worked great. And it was free. But it now no longer works on any recent OS.
So I tried all that I could find, that allowed demo/eval. I liked this one the best. The user interface is much more intuitive. It is powerful, and while not free, it is reasonably priced.
I was also pleasantly surprised at how quickly the developer responded to feedback. The next day, it was in the update.
If you are looking for a tool to create icons. This is one program that you really should download and try. Try others too. But this will likely be the one you buy.

I have used iconStiX for years, but recently it has failed. It no longer allows attaching icons to files, only to folders. This is true for both the drop box and the Attach Custom Icon menu choice. This may be a bug in v3.4.

iconStiX (V2.2) is a great big pleasant surprise. It seems like everything I attempt to do—works …and works well.
It's easy to use, not hard to figure out, (although a few features aren't as intuitive as they might be) and has plenty of output options.
I've tried several similar apps but I'm gonna stick with this one. Easily worth $8.99 any day.
